Using Google Meet with AltarPage
Last updated 7 October 2026
Connect your Google account once, and AltarPage creates a Google Meet link for any meeting with one tap. You host the meeting in Google Meet as usual; AltarPage never joins it, records it or sees what happens in it.
What you need
An AltarPage site, with an owner or editor sign-in, and a Google account (personal Gmail or Google Workspace).
Connecting Google Meet
1. Sign in to your site's admin (yoursite.altarpage.com/admin).
2. Open Meetings. Under "Meeting links", find Google Meet and tap Connect.
3. Google asks you to choose an account and approve AltarPage. It asks for two things: to see your email address (so we can show which account is connected) and to create Google Meet meeting spaces. Tap Continue.
4. You return to Meetings, which now says "Connected as" your Google email.
Creating a link
1. In Admin → Meetings, open a meeting (or add one).
2. Choose Google Meet as the platform and tap "Create a Google Meet link". AltarPage creates a Meet meeting space in your account; the same link works every time.
3. Tap Save. On your public site, visitors tap Join and, after a quick bot check, are taken to the meeting. The link never appears in your page's code, which keeps it away from spam bots.
4. Open the link at the usual time; you are the host, because the space belongs to your Google account.
Removing access
From AltarPage: Admin → Meetings → Meeting links → Google Meet → Disconnect. We revoke our access at Google and delete your tokens and email straight away.
From Google: open myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose AltarPage and tap "Delete all connections". Our access stops at once.
Either way, meeting links you've already shared keep working, because the meeting spaces live in your Google account.
What AltarPage stores
Your Google account id and email, the access tokens (encrypted), and the link and id of meeting spaces AltarPage creates. We don't access your calendar, other meetings, recordings, transcripts, participants, contacts or files. See altarpage.com/privacy.
