Using Zoom with AltarPage
Last updated 5 October 2026
Connect your Zoom account once, and AltarPage creates a Zoom link for any meeting with one tap. You host the meeting in Zoom as usual; AltarPage never joins it, records it or sees what happens in it.
What you need
An AltarPage site, with an owner or editor sign-in, and a Zoom account (free or paid). On a free Zoom plan, meetings with 3 or more people end after 40 minutes; AltarPage shows a reminder when it sees a free plan.
Adding the app
1. Sign in to your site's admin (yoursite.altarpage.com/admin).
2. Open Meetings. Under "Meeting links", find Zoom and tap Connect.
3. Zoom asks you to sign in and approve AltarPage. It asks for two permissions: to read your basic profile (so we can show which account is connected) and to create meetings. Tap Allow.
4. You return to Meetings, which now says "Connected as" your Zoom email.
Using the app
1. In Admin → Meetings, open a meeting (or add one).
2. Choose Zoom as the platform and tap "Create a Zoom link". AltarPage creates a recurring Zoom meeting with no fixed time, so the same link works every week.
3. Tap Save. On your public site, visitors tap Join and, after a quick bot check, are taken to the Zoom meeting. The link never appears in your page's code, which keeps it away from spam bots.
4. Start the meeting from your Zoom app at the usual time. You can change the meeting's settings (waiting room, passcode, recording) in Zoom as normal.
Removing the app
From AltarPage: Admin → Meetings → Meeting links → Zoom → Disconnect. We revoke our access and delete your Zoom tokens straight away.
From Zoom: sign in at marketplace.zoom.us, open Manage → Added Apps, find AltarPage and tap Remove. Zoom tells us, and we delete your tokens and account details within minutes.
Either way, meeting links you've already shared keep working, because the meetings live in your Zoom account. Delete them in Zoom if you no longer want them.
What AltarPage stores
Your Zoom user id, email and plan type, the access tokens (encrypted), and the link and id of meetings AltarPage creates. We don't access recordings, chat, contacts, participants or your other meetings. See altarpage.com/privacy.
